Sound Design & Implementation
The Harvest is a third-person shooter with MOBA and Battle Royale elements. The game takes place on a desert planet, ancient but at the same time highly technological. The tone of the sound design is futuristic while maintaining a certain realism to represent the harshness and seriousness of the environment and the battle.
Braku Sound Design & Implementation
Braku is the newest character for The Harvest, he is an ancient robot designed for harvesting that is believed to be alive by The Commonwealth members. Also The Insinyur (it’s makers) are truly artisans of robots making every piece unique. So, Braku needed to sound robotical but at the same time organic and unique.
Braku Voice Design
Classical ways of making a robotic voice were avoided, such as vocoders and other human voice distorsions, to make Braku really special and unique. Furthermore it is very possible that in the future more Braku’s voice sounds are needed so it was necessary to make a system that could be replicated maintaining consistency between performances.
The solution was to simulate a real vocal tract with physical modeling.
